UTC: Behind The Scenes

Around mid-1991, the mounting social problems in America were the things that inspired Yolanda De Shannon to write, produce and direct the movie, "Until Tomorrow Comes". The story is set in two fictional cities, South Hills and Bellwood (affectionately known as 'The Wood'), CA. The movie was controversial for it's time. Even some of the cast members (including some minority cast members) were uncomfortable with some of the scenes in the movie.

Taping begun five days before the riots. When the chaos erupted in the city of Los Angeles, the production was postponed for a month. Despite the feelings of the cast and the crew, most agreed that Until Tomorrow Comes was a timely vehicle. A story that needed to be told.  For complete cast and crew information, please go to the Internet Movie DatabaseFor contact information, click here
